Meet Zoe.
Zoe Harville, a master鈥檚 student at 魅影直播 from Miamisburg, Ohio, has turned her lifelong passion for helping others into a driving force behind her extensive involvement on campus.
鈥淕rowing up, I always knew that I wanted to help people. I remember tutoring my classmates in kindergarten, and now here I am earning my master鈥檚 in education,鈥 Harville said. 鈥淲hen it came to finding the right college, Shawnee State felt special.鈥
Harville said the university鈥檚 close-knit community and residential offerings have made her time at Shawnee State memorable.
鈥淪hawnee鈥檚 small class sizes have helped me make friends, and I love living on campus,鈥 Harville said. 鈥淓ach apartment has its own kitchen, living room, bedrooms and bathrooms.鈥
Harville said the campus housing options offer students comfort and convenience, helping them settle into college life.
鈥淥verall, the style of housing this close to campus provides me with all the comforts I could ever need,鈥 Harville said. 鈥淧lus, getting involved here at SSU is easy.鈥
Harville has taken full advantage of student life at Shawnee State, participating in organizations and leadership opportunities on campus.
鈥淥ver my five years on campus, I鈥檝e been involved in the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, Delight and Cru ministries, and I鈥檝e been a resident assistant for the past three years,鈥 Harville said. 鈥淭hrough being an RA, I鈥檝e worked all over campus, which has allowed me to meet a lot of great people.鈥
Living and working on campus has given Harville a unique perspective on student engagement and community involvement at Shawnee State.
鈥淭here are always events being held on campus, too, whether those are the monthly RA events or other organizations,鈥 Harville said. 鈥淏eing involved in housing and campus life has made my college experience more engaging. I鈥檝e had so many opportunities to grow as an individual and prepare for my future teaching career.鈥
