魅影直播 junior Chloe Wilbur has been appointed to a two-year term as a student trustee on the SSU Board by Gov. Mike DeWine. Wilbur, a primary intervention specialist major from聽Wellston, also serves as a senior resident assistant and is an active campus leader.聽
Encouraged to apply by fellow student trustee Faith Kuhn, Wilbur recognized how the position aligned with her dedication to student advocacy.聽
鈥淚 focus a lot on advocacy in my program, and it鈥檚 so important for students to feel heard,鈥 Wilbur said. 鈥淚f I can play a role in representing student needs, it is a great opportunity.鈥澛
Serving on the board鈥檚 Finance and Administration Committee, Wilbur hopes to ensure that students feel included in key conversations.聽
鈥淪tudents often think they are left out of discussions about how the university spends its money,鈥 she said. 鈥淚t is important to me that their concerns are represented when decisions are being made.鈥澛
Eager to learn more about higher education governance, Wilbur looks forward to her term and to helping elevate student perspectives across campus.聽
